About Curwen

P22 Curwen Poster is a digitized version of a rare wood type used by the Curwen Press in England in the early 20th Century for poster work.

The wood type designed in 1917-18 was made in sizes ranging from 4.5 line to 22 line. The actual wood type currently resides at the press of Massey College in Toronto. This digital version was made from proof of this type.

P22 Curwen Maxima is a new hyper-stylized re-interpretation of Curwen Poster by Colin Kahn.
