Platten Neu Regular Italic

Regular Italic leans fully into the handwritten spirit at the heart of Platten Neu. Its round‑tip influence becomes more pronounced here, with gently sloped forms and a few idiosyncratic details that set it apart from the upright styles. The rhythm feels studied yet relaxed, like careful practice pages brought into contemporary use. Alongside the Regular roman, it introduces movement and contrast; paired with heavier weights, it softens structure and adds a human counterpoint. Thoughtful without feeling nostalgic, it carries a quiet expressiveness that suits long passages as easily as short, characterful lines.
