Italian Old Style Regular Italic

Regular Italic was drawn from the smaller composition sizes of Italian Old Style, and it shows in its calm color and unforced rhythm. The looser fitting of the regular weight carries through here, allowing the cursive forms to breathe in extended reading. Compared to the Light Italic, this cut feels steadier and more grounded, making it a natural companion to Regular for emphasis within continuous text. Use it for introductions, marginal notes, and literary passages where a gentle, humanist slant adds nuance without disturbing the page’s quiet balance.
