Italian Old Style Light Italic details
Drawn from larger display sizes, Light Italic carries a touch more openness and poise than its text counterpart. The strokes feel airy, and the rhythm has that easy Renaissance swing Goudy admired in Jenson. It’s more delicate than Regular Italic, with a lighter color that lends itself to pull quotes, prefaces, and moments that call for emphasis without heaviness. Pair it with the Light Roman for graceful contrast, or set it against Regular weights to introduce a subtle hierarchy that still feels rooted in the same historical voice.
