Avocet Light

The Light weight reveals Avocet at its most delicate and lyrical. Fine strokes and gently swelling curves echo the sweep of a script-held pen, while the underlying structure still carries the quiet discipline of its metal origins. There’s an ease to its rhythm—the counters breathe, the joins taper gracefully, and the beak-like terminals give each word a subtle lift.

Within the family, Light sets the tone: it’s the most transparent expression of the design’s chancery influence. It pairs beautifully with the darker weights for hierarchy, allowing headings to anchor while this weight carries longer passages with poise. In print especially, its engraved heritage feels right at home.
