Harold Curwen

The Curwen Press was founded by the Reverend John Curwen in 1863 to publish sheet music. Harold Curwen, John's grandson, took over the press in 1914 and was a key figure in British printing in the early 20th century. Harold Curwen designed a sans serif in 1911 and the Curwen poster type in 1918.
