Bruce Rotherham

Bruce Rotherham (1926–2004) spent his formative years working at his father’s commercial printing business, where he came to appreciate letterforms. Wedge was a long-time unrealized project when he heard a BBC radio show, ‘Science Now,’ discussing the topic of computer typesetting. Realizing Wedge was relevant, he contacted the producer Adrian Pickering at the University of Southampton. Pickering was excited by the prospect and worked closely with Rotherham to produce a digital version of Wedge.
