This letterpress broadside of the Tangent wood type was designed and printed by Amelia Hugill-Fontanel, Associate Curator of the Cary Graphic Arts Collection at RIT.
Amelia printed this on the Cary’s Vandercook Universal I press with the actual wood type from the Mo Lebowitz Collection. This 19-century wood type font was the inspiration for P22 to digitize the font for the Hamilton Wood Type Collection.
All proceeds of the sales of this print go to the Cary Collection Friends Group. This helps fund the book arts collection in creating educational experiences for not only RIT students, but the local community and organizations worldwide.
