This is the first print from the P22 Design Research Laboratory.
The P22DRL is an archive of tens of thousands of wood advertising blocks originally used by Pollack Printing of Buffalo NY for department store posters in the mid 20th Century.
This print by Richard Kegler features an arrangement of 18 different 4" circles arranged in a grid of 6 for each color: Cyan, Yellow, & Magenta.
Using the blocks unaltered from their original state, they become studies in pure color with Pop Art overtones.
