Thomas Lincoln is an award-winning type designer and graphic artist. Following his studies at Portland's Museum Art School and Reed College, as well as New York's School of Visual Arts, his long and illustrious career has spanned both coasts of the US. He worked with and studied under ad pioneers and corporate design experts such as Herb Lubalin, and Milton Glaser. His typeface, Lincoln Gothic, was a winner in VGC's 1965 National Typeface Competition. He also won a Gold Medal, Best of Show, from the Boston Art Director's Club in 1972, and in 1973, was given an Award of Merit from Typomundos Internationale in Paris, France. Thomas resides in Oregon and his leisure time, enjoys fly fishing and has recently turned his artistic ability to sculpture.
