Designer Spotlight: James Grieshaber
For the month of November, we are highlighting the designs of James Grieshaber for the IHOF collection. James, a former P22 staff member, graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology (USA) with a BFA in Graphic Design. Shortly after arriving at P22, he helped establish the International House of Fonts. Today, James is the principal of Typeco, a type foundry and design studio which produces its own line of fonts as well as provides custom typographic services. He has been active in the typographic community for several years and has also recently served as the chair for the Society of Typographic Aficionados (SOTA).
The selection of fonts that James has created for IHOF spans centuries of type design. Included are: Operina Pro, a font based on the calligraphic script of Ludovico degli Arrighi; Numismatic, an engravers font from the 15th & 16th Centuries with Arabic figures and ornaments ; Cusp, a contemporary design influenced by the rave/techo culture; the award winning (ATypI) Gothic Gothic and the seasonal, alpine look of the Yule font family.
This offer is good through November 30th, 2010.
