HWT Gothic Round
19th Century SOFT SANS Serif
Digitized by Miguel Sousa
Gothic Round is a softened varaition of a standard heavy Gothic typeface, first introduced as wood type by George Nesbitt Co. in 1838. The style evokes a much more recent history of the 1960s and 70s and can be seen in such places as donut shops and inspiring such fonts as VAG rounded. It has not previously been available as a digital font until now. Using a wide variety of historical sources, Miguel Sousa has made a very solid and contemporary font with a 150+ year history.
